Build Your Own Education
You and your professors will work together to design your own program of study. You won't choose a major the way you might buy a product. Rather, you'll build a concentration out of your interests and intellectual curiosity, in close consultation with your faculty advisors.
Concentrations can include a broad range of interdisciplinary exploration; professors actively encourage you to cross traditional academic borders and follow your interests wherever they lead you.
Possible areas of study include:
|American Studies||Jewish Studies|
|Animation and Digital Art||Latin American Studies|
|Art History||Marine Science|
|Astronomy||Middle Eastern Studies|
|Business/Entrepreneurship||Native American Studies|
|Childhood, Youth, and Learning||Peace and World Security Studies|
|Creative Writing||Psychoanalytic Studies|
|Culture, Brain, and Development||Psychology|
|Feminist Studies||Southwest Studies|
|Game Design and Development||Theatre|
|Globalization/Third World Studies||World Language|
These areas of study are intended as samples and do not reflect all possible courses and programs; all Hampshire students design their own areas of concentration in close concert with faculty committees.
