First-Year Applicants

• The Common Application including the personal essay
• Hampshire’s Supplement including the analytical essay
• $60 nonrefundable application fee (waived if submitted online)
• Official high school transcript
• Transcript(s) from all colleges attended (if applicable)
• School Report (counselor recommendation)
• Teacher recommendation
• Creative option (optional)
• Interview (optional)
• SAT or ACT test scores (optional)

Transfer Applicants

• The Common Application including the personal essay
• Hampshire’s Supplement including the analytical essay and proposed program of study
• $60 nonrefundable application fee (waived if submitted online)
• Official high school transcript reflecting the date of graduation
• Official transcript(s) from all colleges attended
• Instructor recommendation
• Progress report from current instructors required if currently enrolled in college
• Creative option (optional)
• Interview (optional)

International Applicants
Please use the above checklist for first-year or transfer students. Additionally, international students must submit:

• Certification of Finances
• TOEFL test results or acceptable equivalent required if your native language is not English, unless you completed grades 11 and 12 in the United States.
