Early Decision
Seniors in high school who consider Hampshire College their first and only choice are encouraged to use the early decision plan.
Those accepted under the early decision plan must withdraw all applications to other colleges and commit themselves to attend Hampshire.
Early Action
Early action candidates are free to submit applications to other colleges.
Regular Admission
First-year applicants ordinarily apply during their senior year of high school.
Early Entrance
Students possessing exceptional maturity and academic ability may apply during their junior year of high school. A limited number of places are available for early entrance candidates: an on-campus interview is required, along with written approval from the student's high school.
Note: Students who will receive a high school diploma after three years should apply as regular first-year candidates; they are eligible to apply under the early decision and early action plans.
