Interviews
Interviews are an important part of Hampshire's admission process, and are strongly recommended for prospective students. An interview is an opportunity to ask questions about specific areas of academic and social life, and is also a chance for students to convey experiences or qualities they have that make them well-suited to Hampshire's distinctive program, or to explain circumstances that might affect the review of the application.
Interviews are conducted on campus by members of the admissions counseling staff and highly-trained, advanced-level students. Interviews are also conducted off campus by admissions counselors and trained alumni volunteers. All interviews "count" the same in the application process.
Interviews must be completed by the stated application deadline.
On-campus Interviews
Interviews are available on weekdays in the admissions office. To request an interview, please call the admissions office.
Off-campus Interviews
Off-campus interviews are ordinarily conducted by trained graduate volunteers. To request an off-campus interview, complete the alumni interview request form. The admissions office will do its best to locate a Hampshire graduate in your area for you to contact for an interview. Please request an alumni interview only if you are not interviewing with a traveling admissions counselor, or planning to interview during a campus visit. Please allow at least five business days before expecting our response about alumni availability in your area.
