Admission Plans and Deadlines
If you have been admitted to Hampshire for fall, 2009 and have not paid your tuition deposit, it is not too late to accept your offer of admission.

*Note to international students: Financial aid is only available to candidates applying for the fall semester. International students who seek financial aid must use the January 1 deadline.
Spring 2010: First-year students, transfer students, visiting students, early entrance students, and international students.
Applicants must complete their admission files by November 15, 2009. Applicants will be notified beginning December 15, 2009. International students must complete their admission files by November 1, 2009; the notification date for international students is November 10, 2009.

Early Decision
First-year students and international students
High school seniors who consider Hampshire College their first and only choice are encouraged to use the Early Decision plan. Early decision candidates must complete their admission files by November 15, 2009. Students will be notified of the admissions decision beginning December 15, 2009. Those accepted under the Early Decision plan must withdraw all applications to other colleges and commit themselves to attend Hampshire. A nonrefundable deposit of $400, required of all accepted early decision candidates, must be received by the admissions office by January 1, 2010.
Early Action
First-year students and international students
Seniors in high school who wish to receive an early response to their applications must submit all materials by December 1, 2009. Candidates will be notified of their application status by February 1, 2010, and must confirm their intention to enroll by submitting the $400 deposit no later than May 1, 2010. Early action candidates are free to submit applications to other colleges.
Regular Admission
First-year students, early entrance students, international students, and the James Baldwin Scholars Program
First-year applicants ordinarily apply during their senior year of high school. The deadline to complete all application materials is January 1, 2010. Applicants will be notified by April 1, 2010. Accepted applicants must confirm their intention to enroll by submitting a nonrefundable deposit of $400 by May 1, 2010.
Early Entrance
Students possessing exceptional maturity and academic ability may apply during their junior year of high school. A limited number of places are available for early entrance candidates; an on-campus interview is required, along with written approval from the student's high school. Early entrance applicants must use the regular January 1 deadline if applying for fall semester. Further information about the early entrance plan may be obtained from the admissions office. Please note that students who will receive a high school diploma after three years should apply as regular first-year candidates and are eligible to apply under the early decision and early action plans.
Transfer and Visiting Students
All application materials from transfer and visiting students must be received by the admissions office by March 1, 2010. Applicants will be notified by April 15, 2010. International transfer applicants must use the January 1 deadline when applying for fall semester.
