During the fall, the admissions office coordinates a Lunch Hosting Program open to any prospective student who is interested in experiencing a typical day at Hampshire College. You will be matched with a current student for lunch in the dining commons, and you can design the rest of your visit to suit your needs.

The admissions office is available to answer your questions or help you plan your visit. You must, however, fill out our online form to request a place in the Lunch Hosting Program. Click here to register.

Lunch Hosting is offered Monday through Friday, beginning September 23 through November 22.

Lunch Hosting is NOT available on the following days:
October 14-15
October 21
November 11

A typical lunch hosting experience includes meeting a current Hampshire student in the admissions office at 11:50 a.m. and walking up to campus for lunch in our dining commons. We provide you with a pass for your meal. The rest of your day is up to you! You could have an interview at the admissions office, take a student-led tour of campus, or sit in on a class or two.

TO PARENTS/GUARDIANS: The Hosting Program is intended to be a casual, peer-to-peer experience for prospective students only. If you are accompanying the prospective student to campus, we suggest that while they are having lunch at the dining commons, you can check out other things on campus. You can look over reading material about Hampshire at the admissions office, browse at the bookstore, or take a walk around our beautiful campus. The admissions staff is always ready to give suggestions on popular local restaurants, coffee shops, etc.

To request a hosting date, you must fill out our online request form one week prior to the date you wish to be hosted. Once you submit your form, our hosting coordinator will be in contact with you. Please stay tuned; our request form will be available by mid-September.
