Culture, Brain, and Development Program: Summer Research and Internship Presentations

Students who received funding from the Culture, Brain, and Development Program (CBD) to complete research or internships over the summer of 2011 will discuss their work. Through short presentations and a panel discussion, they will discuss their experiences and talk about how the work fits within the context of their Hampshire education. The program will also include a poster session of projects not presented as talks. A light lunch will be provided for attendees.

Farm Center
Each year staff and students working at the Farm Center celebrate the farm with a festival of activities and display of products and crafts from the farm. There will be a team of horses for hay rides, cider pressing, pumpkin carving, student group demonstrations, and other entertainment, as well as delicious soup, baked goods, farm produce, popcorn, and much more.

Hike up Bare Mountain for a spectacular view of the campus and the Connecticut River Valley. The hike is not long (about a mile), but it is relatively steep.
The Hampshire Film/Video Division III Reel

Film, Photography, and Video (Liebling Center), Bill Brand Screening Room
The Film/Video Division III Reel includes excerpts from twelve films and videos selected by film/photo/video program faculty. The collection celebrates the range, diversity, and excellence of films and videos produced by film/video students from 2000 to 2010. Michael Rice 07F will introduce the reel. More information >>

TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. These events are branded TEDx, where x=independently organized TED event. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. This event is free and open to the public, with limited seating (100 seats) on a first come, first seated basis.
