Reimbursement Rates At-a-Glance

A snapshot of the College’s spending or reimbursement guidelines: 

Mileage: Rate: $0.565 per mile (effective January 1, 2013)
Meals:

$50.00 (maximum) per day local Amherst/Northampton areas
$75.00 (maximum) per day non-major and major U.S. cities
Hotel: $200.00 average daily rate excluding taxes

$250.00 to $300.00 average daily rate excluding taxes for major U.S. cities (Boston, Chicago, New York City, San Francisco, and Washington, D.C.) and major foreign cities

Please note: Except for conference hotels, rates above these levels must be approved by the appropriate budget manager.
