-- Check your Approvals/Holds from the Student Menu on TheHub for your time to begin preregistration.

--Remember, even if you change your mind about returning for Jan Term, you must use TheHub to drop your course(s) during the registration periods before or in January.

-- Advisor approval is not required for January term preregistration. Central Records will authorize you for Jan Term.

-- Waiting lists will be maintained for January Term classes. If you become eligible to be moved off of a waitlist and onto a class list, you will receive an email notification. You will have 24 hours to register yourself for the class.

-- January Term courses with low enrollments will be cancelled before Spring 2008 preregistration begins. You will be notified of any cancellations via email, and will have an opportunity to select a different course.

-- Division I Students: School-based academic courses (not workshops) can satisfy first-year course requirements, including distribution requirements. Distribution must be fulfilled with 100-level courses or with 200-level courses designated as satisfying distribution.

FIVE COLLEGE COURSES

We expect to have on-line request forms available for preregistration for students who want to take a Five-College Jan Term course at Mt. Holyoke or Smith.

Since Mount Holyoke and Smith have different Jan Term registration periods, you will not receive a response for several weeks. You can check the status of your requests at any time on TheHub.

UMass Jan Term classes are offered under the Division of Continuing Education and are not part of the Five-College interchange.

Students may be able to participate in Amherst College’s January term offerings, but cannot register for these activities.
