Hampshire College

Members of the community are permitted to take one course per term as special students or auditors. Some courses are not available to community members, and all other courses require permission of the instructor. The registration form for special students and auditors is available in Central Records during business hours.

Dance courses and Outdoors and Recreational Athletics Program activities have separate fees. Consult with the course instructor for availability and fees.

Special Students

A fee of $600 is required at the time of registration for all special students. These students receive narrative evaluations in lieu of grades. Students may request transcripts of these courses through the central records office.

Auditors

A fee of $15 is required at the time of registration to audit a course. No written documentation is provided for audited courses.
