Please check Approvals/Holds on the Student Menu of TheHub for your date and time to begin registering and for the "ADV" code indicating advisor approval. If you have any holds, you may register, but you must clear them by the end of the first week of registration or you will be dropped from your classes.
The course limit for January term is one course per student (co-curricular courses are not included in the limit).
For the first seven days of January preregistration, you will be limited to either enrolling in or waitlisting a single course. After that, you will be able to add, drop, and enroll from waitlists until you have finalized your registration of one course by the January add/drop deadline.
Please be aware that even if you change your mind about returning for January term, you must use TheHub to drop your course during the registration period.
If you are on the waitlist for a course, you will be notified by email when a space becomes available. You must register yourself on TheHub within 24 hours of the time the email was sent to avoid being dropped from the waitlist. The waitlist notification system runs during all registration periods.
January term courses with low enrollments will be cancelled. You will be notified of any cancellations via email in time to have an opportunity to select a different course.
Division I Students: Academic courses with a school designation (not co-curricular courses) can satisfy first-year course requirements, including distribution requirements marked as "satisfies distribution" on TheHub.
When registering for a January term class and making your travel plans to return to campus, note that University of Massachusetts spring classes begin BEFORE the end of January term.
