Hampshire Calendar Guide

Viewing Hampshire Calendars

  • Login to intranet.hampshire.edu
  • The mini-calendar is located on the left side of the Intranet main page.
  • By default, students see the student calendar, faculty see the faculty calendar, etc. By clicking on the "Switch Calendar/View", you may choose additional calendars or views or set a different default calendar or view.
  • Dates shown in bold have events scheduled. If you click on a bold date, its events will appear below the mini-calendar. Each event title in that list is a link to display more details about the event.
  • To view calendars in a full page display, click on the title of the current mini-calendar.
  • Calendar subscriptions and notifications can be configured by clicking on "options" at the bottom of the full size calendar.

Adding an Event to the Hampshire Events Calendar

  • At the bottom of the intranet.hampshire.edu page, click on "Add or Edit an Announcement or Event".
  • Click on "Add".
  • Choose "Event".
  • Enter a title for the event.
  • Decide who should be able to view the event and check the appropriate boxes. If you check the box labeled "Add this event to the public calendar?" it will appear on the public calendar, which is viewable to the outside world, as well as on the staff, faculty and student calendars. Checking this option will automatically select all audiences, but unchecking the public option will not uncheck all of the boxes automatically.
  • Choose the event category or categories, if applicable, and the event will appear when people view events by category.
  • Set the begin and end times.
  • Provide the location, organizers and/or sponsors, email contact, and, if applicable, a website with more information.
  • Include a brief description of the event, as well as a longer description to give more details. The brief description will show on the main announcements page, while the long description will appear on the calendar details.
  • Is the event work-related or personal? Work-related might include speakers on campus, lectures, and other educational opportunities.
  • Click Submit.
