The syncing mechanism for Zimbra and a Palm is through a protocol called an Exchange Server. This syncing is done wirelessly through an internet connection, not through the Palm syncing application.

To set up the syncing for your calendar, you use an e-mail application on the Palm called VersaMail (often labeled “E-mail” on the Palm). Once you’ve set up the syncing you can activate it directly from the Palm’s Calendar by selecting “Sync Calendar,” or you tell VersaMail to update automatically with no user intervention; this option is found in the VersaMail Preferences#AutoSync section.
