Creating a Personal Web Site

In the home directory of your account, there is a folder named public_html. Any files you put in that folder will be available on the World Wide Web. Keep in mind that any files used to create your Web site will count against your disk quota.

For example, if your username is hjs99, your personal Web site can be accessed at:

http://alum.hampshire.edu/~hjs99

Transferring Files to Your Home Directory

To transfer files to and from your alum account, you need a program capable of scp (secure copy).

Windows:
