Please consider becoming part of the growing network of Hampshire family and friends who are providing career information and advice to students and alumni.

To learn about careers that interest them, we encourage students and alumni to talk with people who have experience in those fields. An insider’s perspective may help them decide if they really want to pursue the work, and give them valuable information and possibly contacts for their job search.

YOU CAN HELP by offering to share your career experience and wisdom with students and alumni. What will they ask you? They might ask for the story of your own career path and what you learned along the way. They might ask questions about such things as pros and cons of the work; demands and sources of satisfaction; training required; suggestions about how to get started in the field; and advice about how to approach a job search.

If you’d like to help in this way, please fill out our Advising Form. By completing this form, you are expressing willingness to be contacted by students or alumni to talk about your career field/area of expertise. You are not offering to provide jobs or internships.

While you may not be contacted at all over the course of one year, the next year you might end up with a couple of phone calls or e-mails from students or alumni asking to talk with you. If your needs change, we are always happy to update our records accordingly.

This is a wonderful and much-needed way to contribute to the Hampshire community!
