For the past several years Hampshire College has been honored to receive funding from the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences to support internships focused on theatrical motion picture production. Hampshire re-applies for this funding each year, and we are notified at the end of March. If we receive funding, grants will be awarded through the Career Options Resource Center. Grants range from $100 to $3000 depending on availability of funding, financial need, and the number of applicants.

WHO IS ELIGIBLE?

In order to be considered for this funding, applicants must:

1. Be a current Hampshire student in good academic standing. 
2. Be returning to Hampshire upon completion of the internship, or be on campus during the internship.
3. Have an internship focused on theatrical motion picture production. Internships related to all aspects of film or video production intended for the big screen (including animation, narrative, and documentary film) are eligible. Internships focused on television or the Internet will not be considered. Film festival internships are not eligible.

Priority will be given to students who are doing eligible internships with Hampshire alums through the Entertainment Industry Internship Program; however, other internships will also be considered.
