National Council of La Raza The largest Latino civil rights and advocacy organization in the United States. Lists scholarships, fellowships, and internships for ALANA students under their “opportunities” section.
The Leadership Alliance Summer Research Early Identification Program (SR-EIP) The SR-EIP is designed to encourage students from groups traditionally underrepresented in the sciences, social sciences, and humanities to consider research careers in the academic, public, or private sectors. This all-expense-paid summer internship provides students with a competitive stipend, travel, and housing.
Arts/Museums
Arts Management Internship Program Ten-week summer internship program at New York City arts organizations. For rising juniors or seniors, with preference given to ALANA applicants.
Getty Internship Program Summer internships at the Getty Center for undergraduates of culturally diverse backgrounds interested in professions related to museums and visual arts. Must be a Los Angeles resident.
Arts Intern Program Places college undergraduates from diverse cultural backgrounds who have financial need in paid summer internships in New York City museums. Eligible applicants must be New York City residents.
The Smithsonian Institution Offers internships in many different areas of the museum complex. Fellowships are available for ALANA students, and for Native American students specifically.
ArtTable invites female college seniors, graduate students, and recently graduated college and graduate students with an interest in arts administration to apply for paid, mentored summer internships.

Allen Rosenshine Minority Education and Training Fund Awards internships to minorities, women, and individuals protected under the Federal Americans with Disabilities Act to encourage the pursuit of careers in advertising.
INROADS Internships for minority freshman or sophomore students with a career interest in business; engineering; computers and information sciences; retail store management; sales; health; or marketing.
Multicultural Advertising Intern Program Ten-week paid summer internships in advertising for ALANA undergraduate and graduate students.

Public Policy and International Affairs Junior Summer Institute JSI is an intensive seven-week summer program that focuses on preparing students for graduate programs in public and international affairs and careers as policy professionals, public administrators, and other leadership roles in public service.
Union Scholars Program Well-paid summer internship doing labor organizing. Includes a matching scholarship for school expenses.

International Radio and Television Society Foundation (IRTS), Inc. Summer Fellowship Program that teaches up-and-coming communicators the realities of the business world through an expense-paid fellowship, which includes practical experience and career-planning advice.

The Emma Bowen Foundation for Minority Interests in Media The Emma L. Bowen Foundation prepares minority youth for careers in the media industry. This program is open to first year students ONLY; however, once students are accepted into the program, they stay in the program throughout college. Participants do paid summer internships, and receive matching scholarship funds.
Science
American Association for the Advancement of Science Paid, ten-week summer internship program in Washington, D.C. for minority undergraduates interested in science writing and a career in journalism.

Indiana University School of Medicine Offers many research and internship programs for high school, pre-med, and medical students. Some programs are specifically for underrepresented populations in health and medicine.
National Institutes of Health Research Training program in allergy, immunology, or infectious diseases for students underrepresented in biomedical research.
Summer Medical and Dental Education Program Six-week summer programs for freshmen or sophomores offering educational and career development activities in the medical and dental fields. Consideration given to applicants identifying with racially/ethnically underrepresented groups in medicine and dentistry.
UNCF-Merck Science Initiative offers scholarship awards for African American students pursuing studies and careers in biomedical research.
Yale BioSTEP Research The Biomedical Science Training and Enrichment Program offers summer research training in laboratories and clinical research facilities. This program is designed for undergraduates, especially students from groups underrepresented in biomedical sciences at research-intensive universities.
MURF Undergraduate Research Fellowship Provides support for talented undergraduates to spend a summer working in a research laboratory on the Caltech campus. The MURF program aims to increase the participation of underrepresented students in science, technology, engineering, and math programs.
