It’s simple! Earn points and receive great rewards for having fun!

Description and Goal
Each mentor and mentee match will receive points based upon the number of events they attend and how long they attend each event. Throughout each semester, matches will be rewarded for the number of points earned.
Summary of PMP Point System
PMP Get To-Gether: 10 points
PMP Off-Campus Activity: 20 points
PMP House (need at least 4 house members present): 10 points
Hampshire-sponsored events: 3 points
Mentor/Mentee Match meetings: 2 points
PMP GTG's -
1.5 hours = 10 points
Our on campus events are known as Get To-Gethers or GTG's. These are held biweekly with a different theme; e.g., academic check-ins and writing help sessions.
PMP Off-Campus Activities
Full attendance of activity = 20 points
Two to three times a semester there are PMP off-campus activities for all matches to attend for free. Past activities have included canoeing, attending University of Massachusetts football games, and going to the movies.
If both, or in some cases all three, members of the match are not present at scheduled PMP activities, then they will be awarded only half the allotted points.
PMP House (need at least 4 house members present)
Full attendance at GTG or Off-Campus PMP activity = 10 points (need at least 4 house members present)
Matches will be assigned to a PMP House of six to eight students of the PMP program. While each of the individual matches will be getting points for attending activities, these larger groups will also receive points based on the events its house members attend together.
Mentor/Mentee Match meetings
Each hour spent together checking-in with each other = 2 points.
In addition to these two meeting strategies, matches are encouraged to meet by themselves whether on or off campus.
Hampshire Sponsored Events
Full attendance of event = 3 points.
Three points will be given to matches who attended Hampshire events, such as a lecture on campus or a Frisbee game. To actually prove that you did meet, the matches should take a picture and post it up on the PMP Facebook page or mail it to the PMP ECC, who will do that.
Tracking Participation and Points
A PMP activity log will be given to each mentor and mentee at the beginning of each semester to track activities and to submit to the PMP ECC.
On the PMP facebook page there will be a graph denoting the number of points each match has. This will be updated after every event.

My expectations were that I would develop a friendship with my mentor and have someone who could give me moral support and advice. My mentor was great at fulfilling this expectation, and I really appreciated having her nearby. I really enjoyed the times spent socializing with other students within the Cultural Center. It's a great resource to have, especially as a first year, because the experience and advice from my older peers was very helpful.
