Elizabeth Conlisk
Elizabeth Conlisk, associate professor of public health, received her B.A. from the University of Notre Dame and her M.S. and Ph.D. from Cornell University in international nutrition and epidemiology. She has a wide range of experience in public health at the local, state, national, and international levels.
She has worked as a visiting scientist at the Instituto de Nutricion de Centro America y Panama in Guatemala, and as an epidemiologist for the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. More recently, she held a joint appointment at the North Carolina State Health Department and the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
Her research has focused on varied topics in public health (infant mortality, youth tobacco use, and cancer prevention and screening) and on the use of data in the design, implementation, and evaluation of public health programs.
