Stephanie A. Levin

Associate Dean of Advising

Stephanie A. Levin, visiting assistant professor of legal studies, has combined teaching, legal practice, and activism in the areas of law and public policy, human rights, and social justice.

Prior to coming to Hampshire, she worked for the Commonwealth of Massachusetts in a program designed to meet the legal needs of individuals and families affected by domestic violence and taught at the law schools of Boston and Northeastern Universities.

Her research and teaching interests include the relationship between law and U.S. military policy, environmental law, the rights of Native American and other indigenous peoples, and legal regulation of the family. Professor Levin has a B.A. from Barnard College, a J.D. from Northeastern University School of Law, and an LL.M. from Harvard Law School.
