With technology changing so rapidly the way that information is accessed, the library's technological capability is as important as the number of volumes and periodicals it acquires.

Named Endowed Funds for Information Technology and Library Acquisitions are priority investments in the College's educational resources. We seek funders for twenty-five named endowed funds for information technology at a funding level of $50,000 or more per fund, and fifty named endowed funds for library acquisitions at a funding level of $25,000 or more per fund.

Some examples of these funds are:

• » Henry Steele Commanger Endowment Fund:
  Supports the purchase of books and other information resources in the field of American studies.

• » Littauer Book Fund:
  Supports the purchase of books and other information resources in the area of Jewish studies.

• » Nansi and Leonard Glick Library Endowment Fund:
  Established by retired faculty member Len Glick and his wife Nansi. Supports the purchase of books and other information resources in the area of social justice for women.
