Greenwich House

Greenwich House is one of Hampshire's "mod"-style housing areas. Greenwich mods are two-story apartments that house students generally in their second, third, and fourth years. Every mod has four to seven residents, living in one double, and two to five single rooms. Every mod contains a common living/dining room, a kitchen, and one to two bathrooms.

Eight pie-shaped mods are arranged in a circular form, or "donut". Each donut has a central common space that can be used for different activities. For example, Donut 1's common space houses the Goodread library. Based on the honor system, the library contains books donated by faculty, staff and students throughout the years. The Centrum Gallery is also located in Donut 1 on the second floor, and can be reserved by students and staff for a variety of activities. Donuts 2 and 3 have laundry facilities. Donut 4 has second floor space reserved for the Queer Community Alliance (QCA), and Donut 5 has its second floor reserved for activities related to the office of Spiritual Life.

Greenwich House, being one of the smaller of the living areas, currently has 209 residents, and shares its house office with Enfield House, located in Enfield.

Enfield House

Enfield House is another distinct example of Hampshire College's "mod" style housing. Built in a townhouse style, Enfield mods are two and three story apartments that generally house students in their second, third, and fourth years. Each mod has four to eight residents, living in one double and two to six single rooms. Every mod contains a common living/dining room, a kitchen, and one to three bathrooms.

Enfield house, being the smallest of the living areas at Hampshire, has 199 residents and shares its house office with Greenwich House.
