An essential part of Residence Life at Hampshire, interns live among and provide support to the residents of a specific section of residences. They communicate and facilitate compliance with Hampshire’s community norms, facilitate meetings within halls and mods, and plan and host community-building events.

Please note: Applicants must be available to return to campus by January 15 for training.

Information Sessions

• Wednesday, October 16, 4 p.m. in the Center for Feminisms
• Friday, October 18, 2:30 p.m. in the Cultural Center
• Monday, October 21, 1 p.m. in the Dakin Living Room

The application form will be available online October 9, 2013, and must be submitted electronically by 4 p.m. on Thursday, October 24, 2013. Incomplete or late applications may not be considered. Reference forms will be available Tuesday, October 15.

A Complete Application Must Include:

• One Application
  Including personal information, work history, and responses to three essay questions
• Two professional references
  Furnished by individuals who have supervised and/or worked with the applicant in a professional capacity, including faculty members and academic advisors.
  
• One peer reference
  Provided by Hampshire College students who have worked with the applicant on campus, or can offer perspective on their skills. Applicants are strongly encouraged to have the form completed by a current or former intern.
• One advisor reference
  Advisor forms are very brief, and are to be completed by the applicant's academic advisor only. Advisors may act as a professional reference as well if asked to do so by the applicant.

All application materials must be submitted by 4 p.m. on Thursday, October 24, 2013.

November 6-8	Interview scheduling
November 8-15	Individual and group interviews
Thursday, November 21	Decision letters sent to all candidates via email
Wednesday, November 27	All offers must be accepted or declined online by noon

Interview Scheduling
House intern applicants who have been selected for an interview will be contacted on Wednesday, November 6, by 4:30 p.m. You will receive two emails. One will contain instructions for advising the selection coordinator on your availability for the group interview. The other will contain instructions for self-scheduling your individual interview.

Check your Hampshire Email Account
Staff will be in communication with you primarily through your Hampshire College email address. It is imperative that you check your email frequently and respond quickly.
