Media Services circulates a variety of audio production equipment. We provide equipment for classroom use, special event services, academic work, and personal use. Come to our office on the main floor of the Library to fill out an Equipment Request Form.

 Microphones

The majority of our microphones are available for loan to all students except for a few reserved for production students.  We have stereo, omni, shotgun, and lavelier mics that can be checked out individually and along with a recording device. 

Audio Recording Devices

For a while, Sony MiniDisc recorders were the most popular on-the-go audio recorders.  Now, WAV recorders are the better, more simplified alternative. The Edirol Wav recorder, records in WAV and MP3 formats, allows for drop-and-drag file transfers to your computer, and has a very capable stereo pair of microphones built-in.  WAV recorders are available to all students and a quick training session will be given upon pick-up.

Mini PAs

We loan out portable mini PAs for small school-related events.  The PAs can be hooked up to mics and MP3 players, video projectors and laptops.  Speakers stands come with the kit. Mics and cables can be loaned from us as well.
