  • Wiley-Interscience (formerly Blackwell) Journals in Science, Technology, and Medicine Over 1300 current full-text journals in the sciences, technology, medicine, psychology, and education.
  • International Bibliographic Information on Dietary Supplements (IBIDS). The International Bibliographic Information on Dietary Supplements (IBIDS) database provides access to bibliographic citations and abstracts from published, international, and scientific literature on dietary supplements. IBIDS is a collaboration between two US government agencies: the Office of Dietary Supplements of the National Institutes of Health, and the Food and Nutrition Information Center (FNIC) of the United States Department of Agriculture's (USDA) National Agricultural Library (NAL).
  • PubChem Project - National Library of Medicine PubChem provides information on the biological activities of small molecules. It is a component of NIH's Molecular Libraries Roadmap Initiative. Search using chemical names, synonyms, keywords, bioassay description, or chemical structure.
  • PubMed The major index to medicine, animal and human.
  • ScienceDirect College Edition A full-text database for journals in the life, medical, social, behavioral, and physical sciences.
  • GreenFILE, a freely accessible research database focusing on the relationship between human beings and the environment, with well-researched information on topics ranging from global warming to recycling to alternate fuel sources and beyond. Comprised of scholarly and general interest titles, as well as government documents and reports, GreenFILE offers a unique perspective on the positive and negative ways humans affect the ecology. Drawing on the connection between the environment and disciplines such as agriculture, education, law, health and technology, GreenFILE will serve as an informative resource for anyone concerned about the issues facing our planet.
  • JSTOR (Journal Storage) Scholarly articles in over 150 academic journals. Articles date from the 1800s up to a "moving wall" of between one and eight years before the present. That means that there are no current articles. Coverage includes the arts, business, general science, the humanities, and social science.

  • Carbon Dioxide Information Analysis Center (CDIAC) The Carbon Dioxide Information Analysis Center is the central source of data and information pertaining to global climate change. The site provides data about atmospheric carbon dioxide levels and the role of the Earth's biosphere in biogeochemical cycles.
  • ChemCenter A virtual library of chemistry resources from the American Chemical Society.
  • Cheminfo To find and learn to use chemistry information resources on the Internet.
  • Chemistry.org From the American Chemical Society, a collection called "Science that Matters." You can pretty much find anything chemical here.
  • ChemWeb is regarded as the worldwide club for the chemical community. You have to join (free) and then you have access to live 3-D molecules, full-text searching in many trade and society journals, and a browsable Web index.
  • General Chemistry Glossary

  • Links for Chemists Indexes over 8,225 chemistry resources on the Web. This site is created and maintained by the University of Liverpool, Department of Chemistry, as part of the WWW Virtual library.
  • Merck Index This CD database is available on the first floor of the library.
  • The National Academies Full-text publications on education, science, technology, and health.
  • Science in the Headlines Provides summaries of reports on hot science topics, from AIDS to Urban Development. Link to the full text of reports and to related publications. From the National Academy of Science.
  • WebElements Periodic Table WebElements aims to be a high quality source of information on the web relating to the periodic table. A really beautiful site.
  • World of Chemistry Encyclopedia of chemistry, covering topics such as chemical reactions; experimental chemistry; inorganic and organic chemistry; and quantum chemistry.
