IBIDS is a collaboration between two US government agencies: the Office of Dietary Supplements of the National Institutes of Health, and the Food and Nutrition Information Center (FNIC) of the United States Department of Agriculture's (USDA) National Agricultural Library (NAL).

JSTOR (Journal Storage) Scholarly articles in over 150 academic journals. Articles date from the 1800s up to a "moving wall" of between one and eight years before the present. That means that there are no current articles. Coverage includes the arts, business, general science, the humanities, and social science.

Monographs include details on constituents of the herbal product, adverse effects, problems, and potential benefits. The references are annotated and excellent. There is also advice on using herbal products. Because of the provenance, it is a little biased, but the information is clear.
Alternative Health News Online Includes health news; alternative medical systems; manual healing; longevity; diet and nutrition. The Alternative Medicine Homepage Provides links to resources on unorthodox, unproven, or alternative, complementary, innovative, integrative therapies.
