Hampshire College is featured in the new Guide to 286 Green Colleges, which The Princeton Review developed in partnership with the U.S. Green Building Council.
The guide profiles environmentally-responsible campuses, focusing on commitment to sustainability in terms of campus infrastructure, activities, and initiatives. It looks at such items as the percentage of budget spent on local/organic food, environmental literacy programs, formal sustainability committees, use of renewable energy sources, recycling and conservation, and institutional commitments to LEED building certification.
The Princeton Review says the Guide to 286 Green Colleges highlights schools doing “an especially good job in preparing and placing the next generation of green professionals.”
