Orientation 2008
Hampshire’s orientation program for new students reflects the Hampshire curriculum: small-group sessions that encourage discussions and active engagement.
New students have ample time to get to know one another through activities in their two orientation groups. On Friday, Sunday, and Monday, students meet with faculty and staff in academic seminars to develop questions on community, identity, health and wellness, and intellectual life.
On Saturday, students join an activity group and spend the day on a variety of adventures, from whitewater rafting and rock climbing (facilitated by staff from our outdoors program), to circus performing and racing handmade cardboard boats.
Through the orientation program, new Hampshire students start their discovery of the college and all its resources.
