Posted: February 01, 2012

jonathan wright houseSince graduating from Hampshire College, Jonathan Wright 70F has dedicated his career to environmentally sustainable building. Now, a home built by his company, Wright Builders, has been honored with a GreenBuilder “Home of the Year” Award.

The super-efficient home generates 33 percent more energy than it consumes and powers the owners’ electric vehicle with its excess solar-generated wattage.

The Hadley, MA, home is one of “ten outstanding projects displaying the best and most cutting-edge green residential building” selected by GreenBuilder Magazine for the 2011 awards.

Wright’s company has been at the forefront of solar design, energy-efficient construction, and conservation technology for its entire 35-year history.
