Karen Sullivan

Informal Science Educator

Karen Sullivan graduated from Hampshire College in 1994 and became project director of Hampshire's Science and Technology Education Partnership program where she directed Day in the Lab, the New England League for Science Activity, and other partnership programs with local schools and informal science education organizations. She left to pursue her EdM at the Harvard University School of Education and then became director of the Center for Instructional Technologies at WGBY, the public television affiliate in Springfield, MA, working with teachers to integrate technology into the classroom. 

For the past 6 years, Karen has been working for FIRST in various programmatic, coach support, and curriculum research and development capacities. Karen currently consults for FIRST and other organizations on engineering curriculum and encouraging girls in STEM fields. She lives in Northampton with her husband and son.
