Agricultural Studies/Farm Center
The Hampshire College Farm Center is a working farm, as well as a research, education, and outreach facility dedicated to sustainable agriculture.
Center for Science Exploration
Gives students opportunities to explore interests in teaching science. Among other activities, students and faculty present a " Day in the Lab" for middle school students twice a year.
Culture Brain and Development
The program in culture, brain and development at Hampshire College, founded in 2003 with a grant from the Foundation for Psycho-Cultural Research, formally links the schools of cognitive science, social science, and natural science, to generate new cross-school courses and activities at the intersection of neuroscience, anthropology, psychology, and related fields.
Environmental Studies and Sustainability Program
Hampshire's program includes environmental science, sustainable agriculture, technology and design, and sustainable communities. The campus master plan, now underway, serves as a focal point for student and faculty projects.
Health Careers Advising Center
Provides guidance to students at Hampshire wishing to pursue careers in health.
Institute for Science and Interdisciplinary Studies (ISIS)
Committed to making science more open, democratic, and responsible to and inclusive of people. To that end, we aim to change the way science is defined and how knowledge is produced, acquired, and used.
Lemelson Program
The Lemelson Program involves students in the process of design and invention.
U.S. Southwest and Mexico Program
This program has strong links to learning and research opportunities in the Southwest and Mexico. Faculty in anthropology and other areas are highly active in this area.
Women in Science
From its inception, Hampshire has encouraged women to bring their unique strengths to the fields of science, and half of our science graduates are women.
