Recycling in Mods

In the common area of each mod, there are central bins for mixed paper and bottles and cans.   Individual rooms also have a small blue bin for recycling personal paper (notes, magazines, etc.)

Note: Do NOT place recycling bins in stairwells or hallways outside your mod. Bins left in the stairwell are a fire hazard. They will be removed and you will be charged for a missing bin.

Students are responsible for working out a schedule within each mod alternating who is responsible for bringing the recyclables and trash from their mod to the recycling sheds outside and placing their recyclables into the appropriate container. In the sheds outside are bins or areas for the following:

  • Mixed paper
  • Commingled bottles and cans
  • Cardboard. (Please flatten all cardboard boxes and place them in this area.)
  • Compostable food waste from the mod.

There is a trash dumpster next to each shed for any non-recyclable trash.

Where are the central trash and recycling bins?
Recycling sheds and trash dumpsters for the mods are located:

  • On the south end of Prescott
  • In the parking lot to the east of Enfield
  • In the turnaround where North Campus Drive deadends at Greenwich

What can I recycle in each bin?
