The Strategic Planning Steering Committee and Keeling and Associates will hold three open meetings:

Oct. 8th from 5:30-6:30 p.m. (FPH East Lecture Hall)
Oct. 8th from 7:30-8:30 p.m. (FPH Lounge, with Pizza)
Oct. 9th from 10:00-11:00 a.m. (FPH West Lecture Hall)
(a meeting will also be recorded and posted online for those who cannot attend)

These meetings will be held to help the community begin the process of strategic planning by doing three things:

1. To inform the community about what strategic planning for Hampshire means at this moment. Keeling and Associates will outline the process and what the overarching goals of the process are, as well as details such as what a strategic plan looks like. Members of the Strategic Planning Steering Committee will introduce themselves and take questions at each meeting also.

2. To envision what tangible results Hampshire hopes to get out of this process. Importantly it is NOT the intent to reinvent/re-do the 2011 strategic planning process, though there will be room to consult/revisit the insights gained from the previous process if and when necessary.

3. To explain how we will communicate information about this process, how Hampshire will gather information, and how that information will be re-communicated back to the community.

As we would like this process to be completely transparent at all times, any information about the strategic planning process and documents related to that process will be available on the intranet through the office of the president at http://strategicplanning.hampshire.edu.

It is critical that as a community we inform ourselves and become a part of this process to make sure that it is a valuable one. These informational meetings will help us all begin the process on the same page. We hope you can join us.
