Students must reapply for financial aid each year. Renewal application information is sent to the homes of renewal students in January. Students who never received aid but now believe they need it may apply by completing the following forms. We recommend that students apply for aid even if they anticipate taking a leave in the fall. That way all of the paperwork is in order in the event they change their minds about enrollment; or to complete the spring application early so they don’t have to worry about it while on leave in the fall. If you apply for the fall, your decision will be for the entire year. Students who are on leave or not on aid in the fall must meet the spring deadline.
Your complete application ensures consideration for all forms of financial aid available through Hampshire College including grants, loans, and employment opportunities. You must do these forms even if you are only interested in work-study eligibility.
- June 1 - deadline for full funding.
- June 2 - August 15 - late applications accepted but full funding not available.
You and your parents must complete ALL of the following forms. Remember that different forms are submitted to different places and you must allow for sufficient mail and processing time to meet deadlines. We strongly suggest that you keep a copy of everything you submit. The deadline refers to receipt of the processed and complete forms, not the postmark date.
It is important for students to use the same name and correct Social Security number on all application materials. Also, the name used must match the name on the Social Security card. Please put the student's name on the top of each form submitted to our office.
