Borrowers are required to complete the Master Promissory Note (MPN) before funds are disbursed to the student's college account. Borrowers will sign one promissory note that will be used for all Direct loans borrowed while the student attends Hampshire College. The MPN covers loans borrowed over a ten-year period.

If you prefer to sign a paper MPN, or if you are unable to use the electronic signature process, please contact our loan counselor; a paper MPN will be mailed to you after the loan has been created.

After the promissory note is accepted by the Loan Origination Center, the loan funds will be ready for disbursement to your college bill.
