Purchasing Office

The Hampshire College Purchasing Department provides assistance to all departments in purchasing supplies, equipment, furniture and services. Our mission is to provide the lowest possible cost while providing quality and service.

Each employee plays an active role in the purchasing function. Most of what we use in our daily work, from office supplies to janitorial supplies, has been acquired through purchasing. Since everyone is involved in purchasing, the purchasing department has produced a manual. It is intended to clarify what is expected of us in the purchase of goods and services.

The Director of Purchasing and Business Services oversees the purchasing department as well as the presidents residence, duplication and post office departments.
