The student admissions and financial aid subcommittee is charged with:

• Establishing goals for student ethnic and class diversity based on the diversity present in the geographic zones from which Hampshire recruits students, in relative proportions, as well as based on national numbers.
• Developing outreach plans in order to achieve the above goals.
• Determining the College's financial requirements needed in order to provide financial aid packages that assist in achieving the above goals.
• Studying and reporting retention rates across different student populations.
