Over the past year we have celebrated Hampshire’s fortieth anniversary, looking back to marvel at the vision of our founders and the building of a remarkable college. Hampshire has made an educational and cultural impact far beyond what its resources might have suggested, perhaps even exceeding the expectations of its founders.

Now, we turn our collective gaze forward, to set the course for an equally remarkable future for Hampshire. Through an inclusive and transparent strategic planning process, we will confirm the core values and mission of Hampshire College and create a compelling plan and strategies for implementation.

To achieve these goals, each and every one of us has to become a new founder for Hampshire. We need the best creative thinking of all members of the Hampshire community. I ask for the support and involvement of all faculty, students, staff, alums, and friends as we work together to envision and create our future.
