What are the living conditions?
Participants will reside on the Hampshire College campus in the Enfield Apartments. Each apartment can accommodate up to 8 participants, all having single bedrooms, with a shared living space, kitchen, and bathroom.
What if I have a dietary restriction?
All meals, whether prepared by participants or the dining commons, will be prepared with the freshest local and organic ingredients possible. A variety of options will be offered, including vegetarian, vegan, and gluten-free. Special needs may be met upon request; please be sure to reference this on your registration form if needed.
What to bring:
Clothes for warm to hot humid days, possible rain, mild air conditioning
Residents: Linens of your choice (sheet(s), blanket(s), face and body towel(s)
(pillows will be provided)
A meditation cushion or bench (we will have some cushions on site)
Drum (for fire circle)
Electronic devices: consider whether you really need them and might want to experiment with being device free for a few days. Cell phones should be absent or on silent (or on vibrate if needed for emergency contact) during program activities.
What to expect:
The program will now be one track, exploring various traditions of spiritual wisdom and practices related to sacred earth and opening up our awareness and understanding as a foundation for personal and collective change.
You will receive all materials needed for the program (schedule, locations for each part of the program, resource list, keys to rooms, etc.) Sunday at registration.
We will not be gardening or doing other physical work, but will have a fire circle, opportunities to walk in the woods, and other aware movement.
The faculty is essentially the same as before. For list and bios go here: http://www.hampshire.edu/specialprograms/25440.htm
Your presence/heart-mind-spirit-voice-ear-body involvement will be a key part of the program.
You will be part of a group of about fifteen wonderful participants for these four days. (Some faculty will participate in parts of the program they are not leading.)
What are the fees?
Program fees are $400, per person, all inclusive.
