Who should attend?
- Anyone interested in the environment, spirituality, contemplative life, or ecological activism
- Anyone interested in exploring a spiritual connection to the earth
- Anyone interested in making connections with others with similar questions
- Anyone interested in helping humanity shift to a world without oil
- All ages, all walks of life, all faiths and no faith, all activists and non-activists
What are the living conditions?
- Participants will reside on the Hampshire College campus in the Enfield Apartments. Each apartment can accommodate up to 8 participants, all having single bedrooms, with a shared living space, kitchen, and bathroom.
What if I have a dietary restriction?
- All meals, whether prepared by participants or the dining commons, will be prepared with the freshest local and organic ingredients possible. A variety of options will be offered, including vegetarian, vegan, and gluten-free. Special needs may be met upon request; please be sure to reference this on your registration form if needed.
What to bring:
- Bug repellent
- Clothes for warm to hot humid days, possible rain, mild air conditioning
- Personal items
Residents: Linens of your choice (sheet(s), blanket(s), face and body towel(s)
- (pillows will be provided)
- Optional:
- A meditation cushion or bench (we will have some cushions on site)
- Journal
- Notebook
- Drum (for fire circle)
- Electronic devices: consider whether you really need them and might want to experiment with being device free for a few days. Cell phones should be absent or on silent (or on vibrate if needed for emergency contact) during program activities.
What to expect:
- The program will now be one track, exploring various traditions of spiritual wisdom and practices related to sacred earth and opening up our awareness and understanding as a foundation for personal and collective change.
- You will receive all materials needed for the program (schedule, locations for each part of the program, resource list, keys to rooms, etc.) Sunday at registration.
- We will not be gardening or doing other physical work, but will have a fire circle, opportunities to walk in the woods, and other aware movement.

- Your presence/heart-mind-spirit-voice-ear-body involvement will be a key part of the program.
- You will be part of a group of about fifteen wonderful participants for these four days. (Some faculty will participate in parts of the program they are not leading.)
What are the fees?
- Program fees are $400, per person, all inclusive.
