The centers of Jewish Life on campus are Donut 5 Greenwich, which houses the Kosher Mod (40), and the Spiritual Life Center, where Jewish meditation and other programs take place. In addition, the rabbi's office can be found in the Spiritual Life office in Merrill Student Life on the second floor above the Merrill House office.  The Merrill Student Life building also houses our student-run kosher kitchen, and is the location of our weekly Shabbat dinners and some other programs sponsored by the Hampshire Jewish Student Union.

The weekly Shabbat Dinners are held every Friday at 7:00 p.m. in the Merrill Living Room, with services held at 6:00 p.m. every other week. Other weekly activities include Jewish Meditation and Chanting, Hebrew Lunch, holiday celebrations, and Lunch and Learn with the Rabbi. For schedule information, contact Campus Rabbi Steve Nathan at spnSA@hampshire.edu or go to the intranet home page and pull down "Spiritual Life Calendar" from the Calendars menu at the top.

The best way to stay informed is to get on the Jewish student e-mail lists. To get e-mails about Jewish events on campus, go to lists.hampshire.edu.  For the Jewish Student Union, sign up for the list titled "Jewish." For information about Israel-related activities spnsored by the Hampshire Union of Progressive Zionists, sign up for the list "upz." Also check out the UPZ and JSU sites at Hampedia.

And remember...all programs are open to the entire campus, Jewish or not, so feel free to invite your friends to join you!
