Rachel Conrad
Rachel Conrad, associate professor of psychology and childhood studies, received an A.B. from Harvard University in English and American literature, and a Ph.D. in psychology from the University of California at Berkeley. Her teaching and research interests include children’s emotional and social lives; critical developmental psychology; child clinical psychology; interdisciplinary childhood studies, particularly the intersection of child psychology and literature and/or history; and community-based approaches to learning with and from young people, including the development of antiracist curricula for and with children. She serves on the steering committee of the Critical Studies of Childhood, Youth, and Learning (CYL) program. Professor Conrad is on leave the 2007-2008 academic year.
