Edward Dees is a board-certified physician who specializes in emergency and internal medicine. For most of his career, he practiced medicine in the New Orleans area and the River Parishes; since Hurricane Katrina, he has been living between New Orleans and Vermont. Ed served as Hampshire College trustee from 1983 to 1987 and spearheaded the recent Hampshire of Color event, providing inspiration, financial support, and programmatic guidance for this very successful reunion and celebration. In addition to his bachelor’s degree from Hampshire, Ed earned a doctorate in medicine from New York University and a master of public health degree from Tulane University.
