For the Commencement 2009 weekend, we are happy to host both division III presentations and evening performances. Many of you will remember these from past years as a wonderful way to appreciate the excellence and depth of division III work. 

The Hampshire community would love to learn about the projects you’ve been working on, so we hope you will consider participating.

The Division III Presentations Friday, May 15, 1-5 p.m.
These presentations highlight academic work presented primarily (though not exclusively) as lectures, readings, or short film screenings.

• Each time slot is 45 minutes long, and should include a brief Q&A session.
• These take place in the classrooms and lecture halls in FPH, and minimal media support is available.
• These presentation slots are open and guaranteed to anyone who signs up by the deadline.

The Division III Performance Showcase Friday, May 15, 7-9 p.m.
These performances showcase creative work and provide evening entertainment. This is intended for encore presentations; this is not the appropriate time to expect to perform your division III for its debut showing.

• This features performance-based division III projects such as live music, theatre, dance performances, and longer film screenings.
• These will take place throughout campus and have a wider variety of venues and resources available.
• Performers will be expected to staff their own performance, so please make sure that anyone involved will still be on campus and will be available.
• Performances will be selected based on the availability of space and equipment, at the discretion of student services, and in consultation with other staff. We may not be able to accommodate all requests.
