Coordinator for Multicultural Academic Support
The director of multicultural and international student services, Melissa Scheid Frantz, also serves as the coordinator for multicultural academic support. She is a point person and liaison for students of color and international students for the sharing of concerns and ideas regarding multiculturalism and diversity in academic life. Additionally, Melissa Scheid Frantz acts as a liaison to faculty, the five schools, and academic support centers; helps identify practices to prepare students and faculty to engage with diversity, power, and privilege in the classroom; and assists with developing programs and resources that foster academic success among international students and students of color. Melissa Scheid Frantz works closely with the office for diversity and multicultural education.
