Locally, the Five College/Amherst area has many entertainment resources.

• Mullins Center at the University of Massachusetts – skating events, concerts, family shows, trade shows, sporting events
• The Fine Arts Center at the University of Massachusetts – performances of classical, jazz, country, and  pop
• Atkins Farms Country Market adjacent to campus on Route 116
• The Emily Dickinson Museum a National Historic Landmark and museum in Amherst

If you wish to explore the area outside of Northampton, Hadley, and Amherst, there is much to see.

To our south, you will find:

• the Holyoke Mall at Ingleside
• the city of Springfield
• Basketball Hall of Fame located in Springfield
• Springfield Symphony Hall live events in theater, entertainment, musical performances
• MassMutual Convention Center arena events, concerts, family shows, sporting events
• Mohegan Sun a casino located in Uncasville, Connecticut; under two hours by car
• Six Flags Amusement Park located in Agawam

To our north:

• Visit the charming and eclectic New England town of Brattleboro, Vermont
• Head to Deerfield to visit Historic Deerfield, Yankee Candle Company and Magic Wings Butterfly Conservatory
