Join other families on the family e-mail list! Once you become part of this e-mail community, you can easily communicate directly with other Hampshire family members who choose to participate.

The family@lists.hampshire.edu email list allows subscribers to post e-mail messages to the list address so that you may compare information, ask questions, and share experiences with other families, and establish relationships with families in your local area. All families of first-year, transfer, and continuing students as well as families of recent alums may elect to participate. While administration and faculty read posted messages and contribute helpful information as needed, the list is used primarily as a means for parents of current Hampshire students to communicate with each other.

As a subscriber, you can set your own options for receiving e-mail postings from other parents, including:

• immediate receipt of all e-mail messages as generated
• a daily digest of compiled messages, including a list of the days “posted topics"

Guidelines for use:

• Participants are encouraged to limit their on-list discussions to topics related to the Hampshire experience. Non-Hampshire related discussions should be taken off-list as a courtesy to other participants.
• Participants may not use this venue to promote products or services for personal or business gain.
• All members are expected to participate with respect and courtesy toward all others in the college community. Differences of opinion are expected; civil discourse with regard to these differences is required.
• The list will be moderated by the director of parent and family services, with support from members of the family community.
• Information about available resources may be posted by the moderators or other college officials when appropriate.
