Campus leadership and activities serves as the hub for all student group-related activities on campus. Our primary goal is to build community among Hampshire College students and to help student groups put their ideas into action. Whether you’re planning a conference or booking a weekly meeting, we are here for you. Every year, campus leadership and activities give support for annual events on campus ranging from Hampshire Halloween to the Ingenuity Awards. Below, you can find info about each annual event, when they are, and what to expect.

Hampfest is Hampshire College's student activities fair, held at the beginning of each semester. It is an occasion for student groups to present themselves to the wider Hampshire community and to involve members of the community in their organizations. Delicious snacks and good music are provided, and it furnishes a great opportunity to pick up information from and to connect with organizers of our on-campus student groups. All students are welcomed, and encouraged to attend. A full list of all recognized student groups can be found here.
Signer Training Sessions
Signer Training is designed to be a valuable opportunity for signers to re-energize for the new year, take advantage of knowledge gained in various workshops, and network with other signers to create programming partnerships. Get energized and excited to start the semester strong with your student group. Learn skills for successful student group organization, planning, and programming. ALL RECOGNIZED STUDENT GROUP SIGNERS need to attend this leadership training. Bring your programming ideas to share! Your Great Ideas + Our Resources = Successful Student Groups!
Each fall Student Life collaborates with the academic programs, faculty, and other academic affairs partners on the event, and in doing so, we introduce students to a variety of resources which help familiarize them with Hampshire, aid in their education and community building, as well as provide opportunities for them to complete their Eampus Engaged Learning requirement, also know as CEL-1!
Hampshire Halloween usually occurs the Friday before Halloween. In collaboration with other campus departments such as Residential Life, CLA, and other student groups, the HYPE Committee helps to organize this event. There are concerts from a diverse range of performance artists, haunted houses, and arts and crafts. Hampshire Halloween ends with a midnight breakfast in the dining commons.
