Scholarships for Community Colleges Transfer Students in the Sciences

Sponsored by National Science Foundation (NSF) grant number 0966086, this program offers up to $10,000/year to community college transfer students studying natural science, technology, engineering and math.

Who can apply?

The program concentrates on providing opportunities to students transferring from community colleges that come from backgrounds that have been traditionally underrepresented in the STEM disciplines (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics). This includes women, students of color, and first generation students (i.e. students whose parents have not attended college).

What does the program offer?

The program offers students up to $10,000/year for up to two years. In addition, awardees agree to participate in a number of activities designed to make their college experience a more successful one. This includes a number of academic and social gatherings through the academic year, attendance at lectures delivered by professionals in STEM disciplines, and an optional summer internship program.

What is the application process?

Interested applicants should fill out the application for Hampshire STEMGrant Program form. In addition, applicants need to complete the standard Hampshire application materials.
