Adjunct Assistant Professor of Computer Science
He is an alum of Hampshire College and James Baldwin Scholar who graduated in 2016. His Division III explored the history of diversity management within the tech industry, and his research resulted in the development of a technical curriculum that he piloted with youth and young adults in Holyoke, Massachusetts.
He believes that everyone should have the opportunity to learn to code and is doing his best to make that possible. The business that he founded at Hampshire College now focuses on training non-technical middle/high school teachers to integrate the foundations of web development into their existing courses.
Fun Fact: Ajmal had no background in web development or computer science before he attended Hampshire. He has returned to campus to teach the technical course that began his journey and made the tech industry accessible to him.
