A resource for financial aid, college scholarship, and grant information for U.S. and international students wishing to study abroad.
Scholarships, Grants, Fellowships, and Internships for International Students (pdf)
A financial aid resource guide developed by GEO ambassadors. Financial aid programs for citizens of specific countries, organized by continent.
An online platform where students can set up their own fundraising campaign for their programs abroad, which can be shared with various networks of friends and family via social media.
This site enables students and program participants to raise money and support for study, intern, volunteer, teach, service-learning, and faculty-led programs through an online peer-funding platform.
The Benjamin A.Gilman International Scholarship Award
This scholarship provides awards for U.S. undergraduate students who are receiving federal Pell Grant funding at a 2-year or 4-year college or university to participate in study abroad programs worldwide. Award recipients receive up to $5,000. Students who apply for and receive the Gilman Scholarship are now eligible to receive an additional $3,000 "Critical Need Language" Supplement from the Gilman Program for a total possible award of up to $8,000. Boren Awards for International Study
Boren Scholarships and Fellowships provide funding opportunities for U.S. undergraduate and graduate students to add an important international and language component to their educations. Boren Scholarships are funded by the National Security Education Program (NSEP), which focuses on geographic areas, languages, and fields of study deemed critical to U.S. national security. Note that NSEP grants have a service obligation.
Fund for Education Abroad (FEA) Scholarships
The Fund for Education Abroad in committed to increasing the opportunities for dedicated American students to participate in high-quality, rigorous education abroad programs by reducing financial resitrictions. FEA offers a general scholarship with award amounts up to $10,000 as well as two dedicated scholarships.
GO Overseas Study Abroad Scholarship
Open to all current or aspiring study abroad students. Scholarships in the amount of $1,000 are awarded each year. The scholarship is awarded based on the creativity and analytical thinking displayed through writing samples and/or video submissions.
Rotary Foundation Ambassadorial Scholarships
The Rotary Foundation provides the largest single U.S. scholarship program for study abroad. Scholarships are available for all levels of study, including high school, undergraduate, and graduate as well as to alums and professionals. Application possible only through local Rotary Clubs.
Giva Corporate Student Scholarships
Giva's Corporate Student Scholarship and Worldwide Community Ambassador Award is aimed at assisting undergraduate or graduate students further their education as well as expand their social responsibility and community service footprint in the world.

The Office of Academic Exchange Programs plans, develops, administers, and monitors several major exchange activities including the Fulbright Program, Critical Language Scholarship Program, Global Undergraduate Exchange Program, Edmund S. Muskie Graduate Fellowship Program, and Study of the United States Institutes.
